Nissan Nuvu: A Concept Car from the Looney Toon Land!

Even before we start talking about this brand new concept ‘small car’ from Nissan, let me maintain that whenever I say ‘Looney Toon’, that is more a sign of respect rather than ridicule. Let’s face it; there is no form of entertainment even till this date that beats the Looney Toons. But the Nissan Nuvu is a tad bit more serious than cartoons and this small car is really something that changes the perception towards small all-electric vehicles. Nissan unveiled the Nuvu at the Paris Motor Show and the car surely breaks the mould and stands apart.

Nuvu is a car for three and that pretty much fits perfectly for the modern family and urban commuting. While what lies under its shining hood is still unknown, Nissan have disclosed that it will have a range of 125 Km and a top speed of 125 Km/hr. The car has a really futuristic dashboard with integrated LED display and the driving wheel is anything but a “Wheel”.

Nuvu really puts a smile on your face with its really cute design. While the bitter folk who always find something to crib about will lament over the course of future designs in the automobile industry, Nissan’s effort is actually bold and unique. The Nuvu though is probably going to be just a prototype for the Micra that Nissan plans to unveil in 2010. If so, it would be really sad!
